Showing a Lack of Appreciation

Expressing gratitude is crucial when engaging with a customer. Thanking them for getting in contact with you can and for their business does go a long way. It creates goodwill with the customer and increases the chances of repeat business.  

 Not appreciating their effort to get in touch with you enough can easily convince them that you are disinterested in them as a customer, hence preventing them from contacting you.
